New two rooms apartment next to the metro line Wagner
ID: 104Bilocale - Via Marghera, 18 - Milano
Via Marghera forms part of one of the most elegant areas of the city, further embellished by the magnificent windows of the shops and the restaurants. The apartment is on the third floor of a typical casa di ringhiera: there is no literal translation for this kind of accommodation that designates a series of flats encircled by a shared balcony where working class people used to live. Enter the building and you find a part of the ancient Milan made of shared spaces and Sunday lunches of polenta and braised.
The apartments overlook the inner courtyard. Open the door and you immediately notice another door: what once was the shared bathroom of the house, now treasures a laundry room. This historical setting harmoniously welcomes the fresh and playful designed apartment, characterized by the wooden floor, by its contrasting colors and by the merging of ancient and modern.
Kitchen and living room
The living room is big and is provided with an open kitchen. You are immediately hit by the contrast between the white of the walls and the glowing red of the vases, pillows and knick-knacks. Next to the fridge, there is an elegant dark-wooden table that stands out for its ancient look: you immediately realize how harmoniously it fits into the modern design of the room. To help this bond there are four chairs with their scarlet cushions. The style of the room, in-between ancient and modern, is clear also thanks to the presence of two smaller tables, one in red plastic and the other in dark wood.
Bath and walk-in closet
A wall and two rooms separate the living area from the bedroom. On the left, you see the bathroom with its big shower, where you will be able to wash off all the stress and worries of the past previous years. On the right, you find a walk-in closet, big enough to harbor also the most copious collections of shoes.
In the bedroom you notice again the white-red, modern-ancient contrast. The bed, big and comfortable, is encircled by a crimson nightstand and two vintage small tables.
